Worshiping Together
A Family-Focused, Faith Community
St. Mark’s Lutheran Church is a traditional Lutheran church that practices the traditional liturgy. We believe that our God is one of compassion, not wrath. We believe that he sent his only son Jesus to demonstrate that compassion to our world.
Worship begins at 10:15 am every Sunday, in-person and broadcast live on YouTube. We hope you will join us as we strive to bring the compassion of God into the world. All are welcome, and we love to see new faces!
Meet Pastor Tim Tahtinen
“Hello everyone! I’m Pastor Tim, your dedicated pastor here at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Aside from my pastoral role, I enjoy a fulfilling family life as a husband to Sharon, a father to Hannah and Grace, and “the carrot guy” to the bunny that lives under our deck.
I have a large variety of hobbies including: reading, playing guitar, brewing beer, remodeling houses, sailing, and camping. In addition to this I am also currently pursuing my Doctorate in Open and Relational Theology. This academic pursuit allows me to better understand my faith and how to communicate about that faith effectively to others.
One distinct aspect of my approach to pastoral care is my desire to connect with each member of our congregation on a personal level. I believe that sharing a meal together is an essential part of building meaningful relationships. By building those connections, I am able to better understand the perspective on faith of each of our members and become a better pastor to them.
I look forward to seeing new faces at St. Mark’s, as we continue to foster a welcoming environment for everyone. Join us on Sundays to begin or continue your journey of faith together.”
